This kind of activity is very effective for carrying out the work on preventive maintenance of negative displays in teenage environment (narcotism, smoking, AID, diseases spread through sexual contact), explanation of important legal issues and preparations of youth for family life. For today the statistics 
on this problem is unfavorable.
This kind of activity in our Foundation appeared due to the support of our projects by US Embassy in Ukraine and the Center of social services for family, children and youth of Lenin regional council in Lugansk city. Every week our volunteers and experts work in one of educational institutions of Lugansk or Lugansk region. Individual and group works are carried out.
The following experts participate in the work:
Gynecologist - propagation of healthy life, improvement of reproductive health, preventive maintenance of diseases spread through sexual contact.
Expert in narcology - the prevention of distribution of AID, problem of the use of alcohol and smoking at teenage age, influence of drugs on youth.
Pediatrist - preventive maintenance of socially dangerous and chronic diseases.
A CD-disk on the given direction of work was released to help to social school teacher. It includes films intended for work with parents and children.
The international experience shows that printed material by itself has very low efficiency in preventing AIDS and drug abuse and that personal contact is of great importance. But it is necessary to work not only with the high risk groups but with other groups of population as well, especially with teenagers and their parents. Such work should be directed to spreading detailed information about the problem and explaining the idea that the best way to prevent the spreading of the problem is warning the high risk groups about the possible consequences of unsafe lifestyle and then trying to create favorable conditions for effective treatment of those who need it.
It is necessary to work with parents to give them information necessary to assess the conditions of their own children.
Reproductive health is a very important part of the notion of "health" in general. Due to the fact that the birth rate in Ukraine in steadily decreasing, this problem has become of both medical and social importance. Abortions are still the main means of birth control. Liberalization of sexual relationship leads to early sexual relationships between teenagers on condition of low sexual culture that we have at hand. Little attention is paid to the problems of sexual education and lots of unsolved problems exist in that area. They are:
- using contraceptives is rare due to very low level of awareness among young people;
- the notion of family has lost the importance it once had; the society doesn't promote the need and desire to have a normal family, children who are wanted and loved;
- very little attention is paid to the problems of sexual education of teenagers and youth; the situation when teachers and parents are unable to help them with their problems;
- mass media is not involved into informing about the problems of family planning, sexual culture and the questions of family relations;
- informing girls and young ladies about ways to avoid early pregnancy is needed;
- learning about the basics of sexual culture and sexual behavior is needed in educational institutions and youth centers;
- prevention of sexually transmitted diseases;
- giving help to women and teenage girls who are rape victims.
